The National Science Teachers Association strongly advocates father or mother involvement in science training. Consequently they typically provide fewer math and science courses and course sequences and fewer licensed teachers in science content material areas than schools serving predominantly white and higher-income students. Sociology of education
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) has created a comprehensive assessment process resulting in National Board Certification in science, amongst other subject areas, for training teachers. Currently, certification is out there only for lecturers at the high-school level (students 14–18+ years previous). Certification tips in science are under growth for many who educate youngsters of ages 7–15 years. The National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) has also created a plan for a science Teacher Certification Program, which presently is being reviewed.
The current work is anxious with one of the successful books popularizing astronomy of the final half of the 19th century, published in France under the title L’ Astronomie Populaire. The book was translated into Greek and was the primary guide, out of one hundred, which was printed to be able to be part of a popular library meant to coach the Greek lay public. The study of the book reveals some interesting points which might be of use in science training.
